- General Limit for Most Countries:
- Travelers can purchase up to USD 3,000 in foreign currency notes per visit.
- Amounts exceeding USD 3,000 must be carried as a traveler's card or banker's draft.
- Increased Limits for Iraq and Libya:
- Travelers to these countries can carry up to USD 5,000 in foreign currency notes and coins.
- For Certain Countries (Iran, Russia, CIS):
- Travelers can draw their entire foreign exchange entitlement (up to USD 250,000) in currency notes or coins.
- Haj or Umrah Pilgrimage:
- Full entitlement (up to USD 250,000) can be released in cash, or according to the cash limit specified by the Haj Committee of India.
