- Travelers from Nepal/Bhutan: ₹100 limit in Indian currency notes.
- Non-resident visitors (excluding Pakistan/Bangladesh): ₹25,000 limit in Indian currency notes.

No, only currency notes are accepted for exchange.
- For NRIs and Foreigners: USD 3,000 equivalent can be encashed within 30 days against Indian Rupee cash payment.
- For Residents: USD 1,000 equivalent can be encashed (If the amount is more than the limit, the payment must be through banking channels).
